From what was once a field the current owner’s father, Arthur Shorey, created this English country garden in the 1950s. In addition to an attractive ornamental area with mature pear, cherry and apple trees, it has a very productive vegetable garden. This is run on strict organic principles growing potatoes, peas, Swiss chard, kale, broad beans, berries and rhubarb. There is an adjacent herb garden. In spring time the garden displays a wide variety of bulbs including wild daffodils and flowering shrubs. A further attraction is the small lily pond. A delightful garden where light refreshments & soup will be available to visitors along with an Easter egg hunt, plants and fruit and veg baskets.
