‘Elvis’ breaks fund raising record at annual tribute concert for Scannappeal!

Local Elvis sound a like Billy Gallacher and his band the Bonquas broke his personal best fundraising target from their 26th Tribute concert held on the anniversary of Elvis’s death. Over 150 supporters sang and danced their way through the two and a half hour concert celebrating music of ‘The King’.  Billy, a long term supporter of Scannappeal has raised an amazing £40,000 from his fundraising concerts and events over the years.  Last Friday’s gig, held at Hazlemere Community Centre, raised almost £2,200 for Scannappeal’s Digital & 3D Breast Cancer Appeal for Wycombe Hospital. This Appeal once complete, will radically improve the early diagnosis of breast cancer so helping over 23,000 local patients aged between 47 and 73 each year. Billy who’s delighted to have exceeded his fundraising target says “ there was a fantastic atmosphere and to see a full dance floor all evening couldn’t have been better”
