Cancer Fighting Fund

1 in 3 people in the UK develop cancer at some time in their lives and, sadly, everyone knows someone who has died from cancer or who is suffering from cancer at the moment. Read about our Appeals to make a difference to the detection and treatment of this disease.  Phase 3 of our fundraising is a £100,000 Appeal for Wycombe Hospital for diagnostic equipment for an innovative new technique to detect the spread of breast cancer.

Save Their Skin Appeal

10% of people seen in an A & E department will have a serious injury to their skin and skin cancer is the most common type of cancer.  Our £100,000 Appeal at Stoke Mandeville Hospital is to equip a minor operations room to speed up the treatment of significant injuries where stitches need to be carried out by a plastic surgeon.  It is also for specialist probes for lymph nodes to precisly identify the location of skin cancer.

HeartScan Appeal

Coronary heart disease is the most common cause of death in the UK. One in five men and one in six women die from the disease.  Our £40,000 Appeal at Amersham Hospital is for an advanced cardiac imaging system to diagnose and treat heart disease.  This new equipment will mean the start of a cardiac imaging service at this hospital.

Small projects programme

We also raise funds for smaller projects. Typically from £5,000-£25,000, recent projects have included providing specialist equipment for respiratory medicine, audiology, endoscopy and haematology. If you are interested in supporting a particular clinical area or hospital, please contact us for information on current small projects.
